Marriage, in any situation, can be a blessing and a challenge. However, Scripture is clear about the advantages of being “two in one.”  King Solomon, whom Scripture tells us was the wisest man to ever live (though he had his own problems, as well), talks about relationships in general and we have extrapolated his words over the centuries to include the marriage relationship.  In Ecclesiastes 4:9 and 10 he states, “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.  For if they fall, one will life up his fellow.  But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up (ESV).”
